Stillness is part of life , yet it is a state that can feel uncomfortable when imposed.
During the period of enforced stasis, 'lockdown', an opportunity to consider human inter -relationships in the context of wider ecologies emerged.
Whilst walking daily, listening to discussions on science, philosophy, politics and art history, absorbed thoughts influenced a series of drawings, a series of 'metaphysical companions'.
Historically 'still life' paintings, known as 'nature morte', evoked a sense of time through their depiction of collected objects and their relationships.
